Before I opened the conversation I needed to know which questions to ask. I asked myself questions like “why is it so hard to have children right now?” while researching the topic.

Creating a Survey

The survey was anomynous. I didn’t want anybody to feel uncomfortable. I got 96 responses altogether. Most of the responses were very honest. At the end of the surveys, I allowed people to tell me anything that I may have missed. These responses were the most helpful. It allowed for complete honesty not limited to a specific question. The challenge after receiving responses was organizing them in a way that conveys a message. I wanted the message to be “It’s ok.”

The Book

While creating the book, I kept the experience in mind. I wanted something serious and playful. It is a serious topic that deserves conversation and comfortability. I thought infographics were important in order for people to know the voices they’re reading from. Below are just a few of the pages from the Book.
